White Out…

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

So I’m sure you’ve all heard about and are patiently waiting to find out which one of your local spots will be releasing the Jordan 25th Anniversary XI’s. Well, maybe not patiently. So, to quell your ever building appetites, we bring you good news! At midnight (12 am) Friday night (Saturday morning) all 40-something pairs will be up for grabs. Were stocking adults and children’s sizes so if you’ve got a little bro or sis to surprise then make sure you get up here AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE, ’cause if these gems live up to the hype, the line should be wrapped around the building – for real this time.
Be there.

Point.

Blank.

Period.

Things You Forgot About…

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

A couple posts back, we introduced you to one of the newer faces @ the shop, Rome. But that intro was kind of a fluke, not to mention we were all well on our way to being wasted when those shots went down. So for this week’s TYFA, we’ve decided to formally re-introduce to Rome.

Usually, we try to have some sort of theme to go along with the shots. But seeing how our boy doesn’t seem to be much of an actor, we just decided to get something clean going. So, with no need for a recap, the synopsis for this look goes as such:

Top – Digi Jack Woven by BBC
Jeans – Rescue Denim by A.P.C.
Shoes – Royal Canvas CVO Low by Pro Ked’s
Watch – Black Out Chief by Meister
Backpack – 3D Diamonds & Dollars by BBC/Ice Cream

More Epicness…

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

As April draws to its close, one can easily say that this month was single handedly owned by G-Shock. But don’t look now, lightning has struck for a 3rd time as another epic drop has managed to sneak in just before the closing call. And I do mean epic. This drop brings in the full run of GS’s new Mirror Dial 6900’s and the new X-Large G models. Now these may not be the typical models you’re accustomed to but change is generally a good thing, especially if you’re one of those big face fans. It seems like GS borrowed some pages from Nike’s pantone catalog because the colors on some of these are straight up blinding. If you really, I mean REALLY want to be noticed, then these should surely be on your hit list. But don’t get too complacent, just because we got in a bunch, doesn’t mean they aren’t limited. So come through ASAP and snatc up your’s before they’re gone.

Other Air…

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

The long standing rep for Jordan apparel is of no comparative scope to it’s footwear. So much so that it’s generally recommended that fiends look to other sources for collab and special edition tees to rock with each successive release. I mean after all, JB’s always been about the shoes. But judging by the latest shipment of t-shirts, the creative juices have finally began flowing in favor JB’s apparel department. From the sweet photo of Spike in his heyday, to the extra glossy box tag tee, to the high quality stitching on the Dream Catcher shirt, Jordan’s clothing is finally taking strides towards matching up with the quality of their sneaks. Let’s hope they keep this kind of production going up till the Infrared and Cool Grey’s drop…

Starstruck…

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

The G-Star cup is running over here @ F² and heading into May it shows now sign of slowing down yet as our 3rd shipment this month has hit the racks. The Dutch seem to be pretty fond of collared shirts as even more have come in to bend our bars (pause) even further. So if you ever need to pick up a top or two to get passed that excessively anal dress code at the EpiCentre, be aware – We Are Loaded.

Raw…

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

It’s always nice to have a change every once in a while. With all the quickstrikes, LE’s and collabs we get from Nike, having the drop in from 10.Deep & Adidas Consortium’s hook up is a breath of fresh air. These bad boys, aptly dubbed “Raw Dogs”, can be summed up in one word – Clean. And thank the Man upstairs for that.

For decades the Stan Smith has been one of the most beloved and recognizable silhouettes among disciples of the 3 stripes and sneakerheads overall; with a long standing legacy as sneaks synonymous with being classy & cool. Throughout the history of the shoe and especially in the past few years, the low top model has been the most familiar and heralded form we’ve seen.

Leave it to the Tenth to change all that. Since ‘95 XDC has been landing blows on us from left field, and they aren’t gonna stop now. Opting with the less appreciated mid-top version 10.Deep with a rather uncanny “subtlety” in homage of the shoe’s heritage. The “Raw Dog” nickname plays off the rawhide laces and graphical monster mouth sock-liner and insole while taking inspiration from the ongoing series of “Sticker Attack” tees. Don’t let the apparent simplicity fool you, this collab is choc-full of details. The muted Iron and Chrome suede uppers brandish some pretty epic and iconic imagery, from the classic perforated stripes on the lateral, and embossed oversized “10.Deep” imprinted on the medial span of both feet, to the trefoil on the heel tab and specially branded top eyelet, this link up was executed with the most deft of 10.Deep’s design aesthetics.

With much respect payed to the historical nature of the Stan Smith, the Tenth put together a hands down gorgeous rendition of a classic, making easily one of the best releases of the year thus far.

Don’t Sleep.

Red Alert…

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

Yet another limited edition timepiece comes in today. With the ever-growing popularity of Play Cloths, you knew it was only a matter of time before a G-Shock collab would surface. After the wild success of their collab (more like assist) with Triple Fat Goose, PC new foray into watches is looking to make an even bigger splash. For some reason, no matter what it is, whenever an all red element is added to an outfit, everything else pops just that much harder.

PC showed no mercy here, with a damn near gratuitous use of the prime hue, they made sure that no matter where you go, as long as you have this on, you will be noticed. But you know nothing bearing a PC label is quite complete without brandishing their signature stripes (running all along the band). Add on some gold buckles and a custom etched back for a touch of luxury, and you’ve got yourself a banger through and through. If you haven’t hopped on the bandwagon yet, this would be the perfect way to kickstart your addiction.

Sleeping is ill advised.

Class President…

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

As the horde of Spring drops continues to roll in, we are gladly re-introduced to a label that we haven’t seen in a while. Public School hasn’t been a major player on our shelves for nearly a year now, but their return is no doubt a welcome addition to the ever-expanding catalog (more like roll call) of labels that grace the racks here @ the Factory.

In typical PS fashion, the latest pieces feature simple, yet sophisticated design, with an innovative use of top quality material (even their t-shirts feel like heaven) to produce products that consistently up the ante when it comes to preppy stylings. Although this is definitely a brand almost exclusively for the thin finns, expect to see this stuff fly off the shelves, cause we know the fashionistas know what’s up.

By the way, is it just me, or does the graphic on the tee look suspiciously like a middle finger? Just saying.
