Lacoste’s Crocodile Mythologies collection continues with a look into a new Missouri model and two different colorways in their Revan, paying tribute to crocodile mythologies of the US and South Africa. The kicks combine a medley of premium materials with all-white tonal uppers accented with details reminiscent of the Venda tribes. The two pairs of Revans follow myths based around New York City as the kicks pay tribute to both the NYPD uniforms and the cities legendary taxi cabs. A release is slated for April/May 2009 with various outlets including colette in Paris, Shoez Gallery in Lyon, and Onzemettrescarrés in Orleans each receiving a limited shipment…

Triumvir presents their new Spring 2009 Lookbook – The Civil War Collection. The California based brand presents a nice line-up of t-shirts, flannel shirts, selvege denim, jackets and fitted caps. Colors are very much in the black and white with accents of red this season. Once again graphics of the season were inspired by historic empires and the changes in civilizational structures.

Re-inventing one of the brand’s popular trademark models the Player, Nixon looks to create a special campaign around the Rubber Player. Starting this month, the intricately molded watch features a 3-hand Japanese quartz movement, custom molded silicone case and band and diamond. The watch will also see a special release complete with collector’s kit stand and packaging. In subsequent months the watch’s color will not be known until they hit retailers. Only a select stores will get the watch in limited quantities starting on the 15th including NixonNow.com. The price is set at $170 USD. Nixon will hit the shelves of  Flava Factory shortly. The ink is just drying on the paperwork, so be on the look out.

Japanese designer Ato, especially known outside of Japan for his high cut Cow Hide Boot, has released a new model – the Baseball High Trainer. The extended tongue and the lacing system are probably the most interesting features of the new sneaker, which comes in a black and a white colorway this season. Let’s face it, this one will certainly not get as much attention as the Cow Hide Boot, nevertheless people that want something different might get into it.

The Sebago Dockside boat shoe is turning 40 and to celebrate the occasion, the brand got together with LaMJC on a double pack of the classic shoe. The design used on the boat shoes was inspired by one of the first sneaker collaborations of LaMJC – the 2006 New Balance. In the spirit of the anniversary, only 40 pairs of each colorway were made and will be released on Saturday, March 21rst, exclusively at colette. colette will also be releasing their Dockside on the same day, which they worked on together with Jack Spade. More on that soon.
